A popular model of stroller made by Maclaren USA since 1999 is being recalled after a dozen children have had their fingers amputated by the stroller’s hinges. All told, a million units are being recalled due to the exposed mechanism. If your child has been injured because of a faulty consumer product, the New Jersey product liability lawyers of Levinson Axelrod can help fight for the compensation you deserve.

Maclaren USA will send parents owning the stroller plastic covers to place over the hinges. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the hinges are an amputation and laceration hazard, and parents should make sure to get the new plastic covers immediately.
