Giant publishing firm Simon & Schuster and the US Consumer Product Safety Commission have issued a recall for “Monday the Bullfrog,” a plush children’s book which presents a choking hazard to small children. If your child has been injured or worse by a toy, the New Jersey product recall lawyers of Levinson Axelrod, P.A. may be able to get you the compensation you deserve.
According to the recall, the plastic eyes on the plush bullfrog (which holds the book in its mouth) can be easily pulled off and swallowed by children, presenting a serious choking hazard. About 142,000 of the plush books were manufactured since 2006. Simon & Schuster say they became aware of three instances in which the eyes came off in use, and one in which the eyes came off while still in the box.
