A stylist at New York’s Hairstyle for Men sued On Rite Co. for product liability and negligence, which she alleges, caused her to contract lupus. On Rite Co., is the manufacturer of one of the chemicals used at the Hair Club’s hair-loss treatment centers. The stylist alleges that her exposure to this chemical caused her to contract lupus. Lupus is a disease in which the immune system attacks its own body tissue.
The New York Court of Appeals ruled that the stylist had waited too long to sue.
