The U.S Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on Dec. 22 that some Dive Rite Wings will be recalled due to the drowning hazard they pose. Approximately 16,000 Dive Rite Wings have been recalled. Diving distributors throughout the U.S.A having been selling the product from June 2006 through October 2008. It was noticed that the buoyancy compensator devices could allegedly leak if the pressure valves were to rust and  fail. This could cause the diver to drown.
