Pringles voluntarily recalls chips due to salmonella concerns

Posted on Thursday, March 11th, 2010 at 8:42 am

Due to concerns about possible salmonella contamination of hydrolyzed vegetable protein (HVP) Proctor & Gamble have agreed to a voluntary recall of two types of Pringles chips made by the company. The recalled products include Pringles Restaurant Cravers Cheeseburger potato crisps and Pringles Family Faves Taco Night potato crisps. The Food and Drug Administration warns consumers to heed recall warnings, because of the serious health problems that can arise due to salmonella infections.
