Four Newark suspects have been arrested after their getaway car collided with an unmarked police vehicle.

The chase started after one suspect attempted to fill a forged prescription for liquid codeine at a CVS Pharmacy. A pharmacist contacted police, but the man ran to the getaway car with three people waiting inside.

A New Rochelle officer and his bloodhound suffered minor injuries in the crash.

The driver is charged with reckless endangerment and reckless driving. All four face felony charges of possession of a forged instrument and criminal possession of a controlled substance. The suspects range in age from 21 to 34 years-old.
