NJ Woman Charged With Drunk Driving

Posted on Thursday, January 26th, 2012 at 10:35 pm

A 47-year-old Montvale woman has been charged with drunk driving and leaving the scene of an accident after she hit another car in Valley Cottage, New Jersey.

According to police, the woman was driving on Mountainview Avenue around 8:00 p.m. when her car struck the side of another vehicle. The woman continued to drive and was then followed by the driver of the damaged car. The driver of the other car cornered the woman at the end of a dead-end street and called police.

Police arrived on the scene and suspected that the Montvale woman had been drinking, so they issued a field sobriety test. The woman did not pass the test and was arrested. While at the police station, the woman also failed an additional test for alcohol. She is expected in court on February 8.
