Lead paint hazard forces recall of children's hockey sticks
Posted on Friday, April 2nd, 2010 at 7:52 am
Consumers have been instructed to discontinue use and return nearly 60,000 children’s hockey sticks in the United States made by Bauer Hockey, Inc. The voluntary recall was made following the discovery that paint and decals on the shafts, blades, and sticks contained dangerous levels of lead. The amount of lead in the paint violates the federal lead paint standards and may cause serious harm to children who play with the product.
